Nepenty 002 — "Cleaning" by Kenya Hara

460,00 kr

504 pages on the work that usually goes unrecorded.

Kenya Hara arranges it by verb rather than by tool. The spread for scrub sets the word down the page in a column of languages — 擦く, strofinare, schrubben, cạ rửa — with a wire scourer on one side and three bottle brushes photographed on white on the other.

Between the verbs the photographs widen out: a monk sweeping a covered temple walkway, a ship's crew on their knees polishing a wet deck, window cleaners hung in a row across a glass tower.
